BUSINESS UPDATE

From January 2026 :-

Private tuition is available for everybody from Beginners to Advanced standard at my music studio in Trunch, Norfolk and in your own home if required.

I am a Music tutor with over 25 years experience teaching Electric Guitar, Acoustic/Classical Guitar and Bass.

I also provide Drum, Piano Keyboard and Ukulele lessons for all ages and abilities.

Exams & Grades

My students have achieved high results in the specialist music Exams with Rockschool Trinity Rock & Pop and London College of music. My students have achieved grade and performance certificate success in all the musical disciplines that I teach.

Oak Tree Music Tuition is also an exam centre for those students wishing to take their exams digitally by video submission. This is proving very popular - my students have had some great results with Merits and Distinctions in Guitar, Bass, Drums & Piano (Grades 2-8)

Trunch, North Walsham, Mundesley, Overstrand, Cromer, Sheringham, Holt, Aylsham, Reepham, Buxton Hevingham, Coltishall,Wroxham, Stalham and all surrounding villages.

I will also consider teaching in other areas of Norfolk and travelling to students where necessary

Music Theory

Music lessons help children practice more than just their instruments: By playing music together, they learn about discipline, commitment and teamwork and develop into responsible and confident young adults.

Many adults benefit from learning musical theory that they may not have experienced when at school and it is never too late to learn to read music which is similar to learning another language .

By reading both the melody and rhythm students can increase both their confidence and playing ability

Both of my children have lessons with Rob and he's been absolutely brilliant with them. They are both AuDHD and are home educated. Finding someone who is understanding, flexible and completely non-judgmental about how they learn is really important to us. Rob has always been happy to adapt lessons to suit them rather than expecting them to fit into one set way of learning.

My son has been having drum lessons for nearly 2 years, and my daughter has been learning guitar. They learn in completely different ways and the fact that they are still sticking with their instrument says a lot in itself! (my son has even gone on to record drums on songs in a studio and has since heard himself playing on BBC Introducing, which has been incredible.

More than anything, Rob is patient, encouraging, and genuinely good at getting to know what works for each individual student. Both my two have learned loads and genuinely enjoy going to lessons with him. I'm really grateful we found him.
